Miapetra was born out of a clear vision and an urgent need: to give voice to water saving and responsible use of natural resources.
Mariano Montero, its creator, observed for years how water was wasted in households, largely due to the excessive flow rate used in traditional sanitary fixtures.
At the same time, he realised that the concave design of washbasins, once designed to collect water, no longer met today’s needs and, in fact, went against the principles of hydrodynamics.
Driven by his love of art, stone and tradition, Mariano decided to redesign everyday spaces from an approach that combined functionality, aesthetics and sustainability.
This is how the first Miapetra designs were born: pieces that not only stand out for their beauty and exclusivity, but also promote a conscious change in our relationship with water and resources.
Miapetra is more than design; it is a tribute to nature and a commitment to the future.

MIAPETRA’s designs have a much lower environmental load than conventional washbasins.
All phases of the life cycle have been studied, from the birth to the final product, including: more than 99% in weight of the materials; all the energy consumption and all the processes used in the manufacture of the washbasins and shower trays.
